Our dossier has been SUBMITTED!!! This means that in December the committee that is CLOSED to accepting ANY new paperwork and has been since August, unexpectedly allowed our SW to submit our dossier for their review in mid December! I know many of you have been praying for this, and sure enough, the Lord showed himself yet again in this process and allowed our paperwork to get another step closer against the odds.
The committee and our SW in country is on vacation for the month of January, so we are not expecting to hear anything about a travel date until February...but really that is only 4 WEEKS AWAY!!!! We are still expecting to travel sometime in February....when we hear from them, they could request us to be in country in a matter of a couple weeks. So we are continuing to keep our eyes focused on the Lord and his purpose and timing and not on the process itself.
We have been in this process for almost 6 months already, and it has just flown, i am imaging how quickly the next 6 months will go!!! :)
We have all of our court dossier paperwork (the next HUGE stack of papers that will be submitted to a judge to get a court date, which we can't turn in until right after we get back from meeting Rush) ready to go, so that when the time comes we will be able to get it turned in ASAP...the sooner we turn it in, the sooner we will get assigned a court date, which will hopefully make the time between our 1st and 2nd trip as short as possible. We are working hard to do everything we can when it's in our court...again knowing like now, there will be times ahead, that it will be out of our control!
Thank you all for the continued prayers for our family and our sweet little girl who waits for us!! We have been blessed beyond measure by the unwavering support and prayers of our friends and family...something that we know is priceless.
And thank you, thank you, thank you, to all of those who have donated to our family sponsorship account for her adoption expenses...we are SO grateful for every ounce of pure love that is behind that monetary amount. We are blown away every time we see that number has risen...nothing goes unnoticed!!!!!

Erika! That is great news! Praise the Lord there is progress! I know that guessing and saying estimates is risky, but do you know what the average time is between the first and second trip? We are praying, praying that this will be the first in many pleasant surprises and that things will go smoothly and quickly for you and your sweet baby girl! Keep pinning those girl nursery picks! ;)

I am just so thrilled to see you are adopting a little girl! My hubby and I are just beginning our search and our process, too - little Rush is absolutely stunning! I am speechless! I can't wait to hear more of your story!
